Thank you for sharing this! So inspired to be part of the backpacking badass community! Even though I’ve been doing my own adventures for about 30 years, I’ve learned so much from your courses and coaching and really feel empowered to take things to the next level. My husband and I have been “van life curious” for a while and just trying to envision how to dive into that next chapter. You are amazing and love the way you share your passions with the world. It’s been really powerful to feel like part of the larger community of adventurers and women who are seeking to expand their skills and do the things they have been waiting for. I’m so glad you made the leap into your year of YES and the life you dreamed of.

where in the video is that part where you show us exactly what the Propex looks like and where it is installed in the van? I am trying to figure out where I need (or don't) the under-bed storage boxes and was wondering where the Propex lives. (I will also need A/C when the time comes to buy Wilma or Wilford). Also need to know the smartest configuration for the dog to get herself up into the bed.

Terrible video. whoever was filming was focused on the person instead of what he was showing potential customers! However, I like some of the van features demonstrated.

How much weight can the bed support?

So it's no problemo if you already have a Wayfarer conversion and your own DIY electrical system? You guys can mount panels, drill the hole, and drop wires for me, right? Promaster 2500.

Love it. Even the "This video has me all charged up." Just too good. I love the low profile of this setup. Lots of wind here in New Mexico, so the lower the better. My question is about how this works with the "old" or original setup that our Walter van has. The boot box near the sliding door. I've dreamt of solar for years. Our espresso maker will kill a 1000w generator, which is worth every watt, but I'd love to have a better solution. Thank you.

I see the different options where the dometic cooler can live ithe different layouts. Where does the optional potty live if purchased?

Somewhat bogus 'solution' (low charging rate) and now (2024) outdated by the Yeti Link system. This unit can be physically integrated the top of the Goal Zero 1500/3000/6000 and use the van's alternator for much (much) higher charging rate.

I love Wayfarer vans! I have the now, sadly discontinued, “Wally” ProMaster City van. I would love to upgrade, but this little thing is SO stealth! 💕 Maybe someday…

I hope to be a wayfarian in ~3-4 years. I have two favorite trips in old VW campers, and it looks like you have the same type of community that people in the old VW’s had: My parents took my brother and me to Europe in 1969. He was military, so going space-a on military planes cost $40 for the family each way. Anyway, to see Europe, my dad rented a VW camper for one month and we camped our way around. It looks very similar to the van conversions you do, except in a smaller space. I really don’t like RV’s (apologize if you’re offended) because of the generator noise, the size, etc.). We liked it so much, my dad bought a VW camper when we got back. By 1976, my brother, his friend and me went to Colorado in the camper for six weeks. I was 15 and my brother and his friend were 17, so this was his “graduation trip”. My favorite campground was Collegiate Peaks National Forest campground. There was a creek behind our campsite that was dammed by beavers. I found a nice piece of aspen on the dam, whittled some finger notches in it, and have used it as a walking stick up until today. Anyway, this is about Wayfarer, not VW😊, and I just started looking around to see what was available, that was similar to that type of experience, and I’m glad I found you all. Congratulations on 1000 builds 🎉🎉🎉!!! Your conversions look to me like what the VW would aspire to be, if it had a bigger frame and modern technology. I love the simplicity, yet I love all the bells and whistles, too. In going through RUclips videos and the build your own portion of the website, I have my sites on a Wilford. In going through the build, every add on I saw prompted me to think, “who wouldn’t want that”? I’m glad to have a couple of years until I retire, so I can narrow down what options I really want. Thanks for thinking the way you do and acting on it. To me, you represent the good, positive side to entrepreneurship. Keep up the great work!

Now all I need to find is a way to 1) find such a van, and 2) buy it, and 3) buy your awesome rebuild! I would love it, because you see, for the past four years-my, oh my, has it been FOUR years?!? Why yes, yes it has-I have been living in my Toyota Prius. While I love the 60 mpg, getting in and out is getting harder, the more my age goes higher into the 70-something realm.

Wow, like others I have come here after watching a video on Creativity RV. It's good to know that there are affordable options out there for wonderfully-tricked-out vans for camping and RV life. I was shocked to read in a comment reply that these Ford Transit vans get like 25 mpg? Way cool. It's good to know there are taller options out there like the Wilford for guys like me and the gentleman in this video who are 6 ft or taller. And, from the audio, I think my deep from-bass-up-to-tenor-range singing voice would resonate like Waylon Jennings in these vans.😂

The Dometic toilet is a good option. Another good option is a Trelino toilet.
